OUR PROCESS

Step 1: Old Paint / Staining Removal

We use specialized stripping agents to dissolve and lift away old, failing stains. This removes the "dead" layers and previous coatings that would otherwise prevent your new sealer from bonding for peel free finish.

Step 2: Wood Brightening & Neutralization

We apply a wood brightener to restore the natural pH balance of the timber. This "opens" the wood pores so the new stain can actually soak in rather than sitting on top.

Step 3: Moisture Testing & Sanding

We never rush the process. Before applying a single drop of stain, we use digital moisture meters to ensure the wood is bone-dry and ready to absorb. Once the moisture levels are perfect, we perform a mechanical sanding on the floorboards and handrails. This removes the "fuzz" (dead wood fibers) caused by the cleaning process, leaving a perfectly smooth surface that is safe for bare feet and ready for a uniform, professional finish.

Step 4: Premium Staining & Sealing

We apply professional-grade penetrating oils or solid stains (depending on your preference) to provide a rich color and a moisture-wicking barrier.
